Reedy Racing Collects First Top Ten Finishes of the Season at Motor Mile Speedway

Bad luck had been a theme for Bryan Reedy and the Reedy Racing Team in 2019. It seems as if it could happen, it did. That turned around for the crew and driver on Saturday July 6th.

Bryan drove the Wood’s Service Centers, Inc., Mobility Plus of VA Inc., DCT Towing & Recovery, Sports Haven Inc., Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, Faye Curren MKB Realtor, Chris Kocher MKB Realtor, Maxey Seat Cover Center, Virginia Driveline & Differential, Kevin’s Signs, Hedgecock Racing Enterprises, Clark’s Race Engines Chevrolet SS to a lap good enough for 7th on the practice chart out of 17 cars in the pit area.

During qualifying, the third generation Daleville, VA driver posted the sixth best lap, only .23 seconds slower than the pole winning time. As is the track rule, the top ten qualifiers draw for their starting positions for the first 50 lap feature. A nine was the number drawn. At the drop of the green flag, Bryan quickly moved up to sixth position. The car was a little loose off the corners in the first race, with Bryan bringing home a solid 9th place effort.

The crew went to work on the car for the second feature. Starting ninth again, the team avoided some mishaps in front of them and was running fifth when contact from another driver sent Bryan into the spin cycle. A good job keeping the car off the wall and staying in the race would result in an eighth-place finish in the nightcap.

The team will be back in action again for another evening of twin 50 lap features at Motor Mile Speedway Saturday July 13th. We hope to see everyone there cheering Bryan and the team on.
