Three Race Top Five Streak for Reedy Racing
Bryan Reedy and the Reedy Racing Team embarked on their second race date of the season on Sunday April 25th at Motor Mile Speedway. The race had to be pushed back a day because of weather concerns.
The team had a productive test on Friday evening prior to race day and were optimistic about the changes they had made since the opening race of the 2021 campaign.
After two practice sessions to open the activities for the day, the team prepared for the qualifying session.
Bryan’s 16.31 second lap in the Wood’s Service Centers Inc., DCT Towing & Recovery, Mobility Plus Inc. of VA, Faye Curren MKB Realtor, Chris Kocher MKB Realtor, Pro Line Trailers, Jersey Mike’s of Roanoke, Euro Specialty Inc., Miller Brothers Racing, Sports Haven, Barker’s Auto Salvage, Base Racing Fuels & Oil, Kevin’s Signs, Hedgecock Racing Enterprises, Clarke’s Automotive Race Engines Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was third best in the session. After the track mandated redraw Bryan would line up in the pole position for the first of two 60-lap races.
The car took a few laps to come in and Bryan settled into battle. A hard earned fourth place finish would be the result of the first race.
Another track mandated redraw would find the driver lined up outside pole for the second race. After leading a few laps early, Bryan would race his way to another good finish of fifth.
"We are getting better. The last couple weeks we have made some major gains with the car. I am looking forward to getting back to the track to test some of the additional changes we have in store" said Bryan "This is the best start to a season we have had since moving up to Late Model. Hopefully we can continue to ride these top 5 finishes and start competing for wins."
The team will go to work on finding what it needs to finish even better when they return to action at Motor Mile Speedway on Saturday night May 8th.
This will be our first night race of the season with the green flag falling at 7:00pm. We hope to see everyone there.
