Tire Problems Hinder Reedy Racing at Motor Mile Speedway

Bryan Reedy and The Reedy Racing Team returned to Motor Mile Speedway on Saturday June 15th for their third race of the year and first 100 lap event of 2019. The previous two races were not to the team’s liking and they were looking to get the proverbial “monkey off of the back” during this race day and night. After a successful practice session on Friday evening, the team had high hopes of a good race on Saturday. The day started off with Bryan settling in sixth on the practice time chart out of nineteen cars.

Bryan wheeled the Wood’s Service Centers, Inc., Mobility Plus of VA Inc., DCT Towing & Recovery, Sports Haven Inc., Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, Faye Curren MKB Realtor, Chris Kocher MKB Realtor, Maxey Seat Cover Center, Virginia Driveline & Differential, Kevin’s Signs, Hedgecock Racing Enterprises, Clark’s Race Engines Chevrolet SS to an eighth place effort in qualifying. Track rules require a redraw and a sixth-place pill was pulled and that is where Bryan would start the race.

While battling in among a group of cars near the halfway point of the feature, air was escaping from the right rear tire and Bryan had to pit under green flag conditions. Bryan returned to the track four laps down and was relegated to a fourteenth-place finish.

"We have not had the best start this season but we are still optimistic. We have a fast racecar. We will keep working and the finishes will come. Everyone who has been following our season knows we are running better than our results show. I am looking forward to July 6th." said Bryan post race.

The next scheduled race for the team will be Twin 50 lap races at Motor Mile Speedway on July 6th.
